Johannes (Jan) Hoogenbosch (1895-1955)
Jan Hoogenbosch is born 27-12-1895 in 's-Gravenhage, he is the oldest son of Adrianus J. Hoogenbosch and Josephina C. Mulders. Two siblings and his mother, died before he was 4 years old. Adrianus remarried a year later with Hendrica Beuse and two brothers were born. When in 1916 the family planned to move to Eindhoven, Hendrica died.
Jan was an entrepreneur. Besides his own businesses he was also involved in several family businesses.

2) Josephine Wilhelmine Maria (Joop). Born 25-07-1927 Eindhoven ~ Died 23-09-2015 Boxtel.
Josephine is named after her grandmother Josephina. Her godmother was Maria Kuijten.
3) Maria Theresia Elisabeth (Dick).Born 29-11-1928 Eindhoven ~ Died 05-08-1980 Meerssen.
4) Wilhelmina Lamberdina Maria (Puck). Born 17-11-1930 Eindhoven ~ Died 06-07-2006 Maastricht.
5) Clemens Maria Johannes.Born 18-11-1937 Houthem St. Gerlach ~ Died 02-05-2016 Maastricht.
The four oldest children were born in the villa "Sunny Home" in Eindhoven. The family moved to St. Jean Cap Ferrat (France) and returned to The Netherlands in 1936.

"Sunny Home" Eindhoven - "Marienhof" Meerssen
"Sunny Home" Hoogstraat 185 Gestel/Eindhoven was the former home of Adrianus J. Hoogenbosch. Due to bankruptcy of the shoe factories the family had to sell "Sunny Home" in 1935. The family moved to Cap St Ferrat in France. In 1936 Jan Hoogenbosch bought a mushroom farm in Houthem. Two years later the family moved to the house "Marienhof" in Meerssen.
