Max was first buried in Sainghin. Around 1920 he was reburied in the German military cemetery Wicres Village.
Wicres is a small village almost 13 KM southwest of Lille. The cemetery is next to the Roman Catholic church.
In 1980 the wooden crosses were replaced by stone ones.
